Intro to Yoga Workshop

Start with Samasthiti

Samasthiti means “standing in balanced stillness”. It is a simple standing pose, yet its simplicity embodies the key principles of the Ashtanga Vinyasa practice - breath, bandhas, and dristhi.

We invite you to our Sunday workshop to explore this practice.

You will start with Samasthiti, and then move through standing and sitting poses from the primary series in Ashtanga Vinyasa. We will work with you to adapt and modify the poses as needed.

It doesn’t end there.

For the rest of the week you will have access to all the classes at Yoga Circle so you can practice what you learned.

This workshop is open to anyone, no experience needed. Come as you are. We have mats!

WHAT OUR COMMUNITY MEMBERS SAY

I started practicing yoga with this community in 2018. I was afraid of being too old to start. Today the community feels like belonging to a family. Over 5 years my yoga practice has enhanced my emotional health and supported my back pain. Ary

“In Ashtanga you are here and now. There is you, your breath, and your body. For me, the practice of Ashtanga Yoga has become truly healing, not only for my body but, above all, for my mind. And it continues to be so. Katia

“As a dedicated runner, I initially turned to Ashtanga yoga to ease the tension in my muscles, but what I discovered went beyond physical flexibility. Through consistent practice, I have developed a deeper body-mind connection and have learned valuable lessons in patience. I am profoundly grateful to Veronica, Ravi & Jorge for their guidance on this journey.” Marco
